Plenty Good Room at St. A’s

Jesus said, “In my Father’s house there are many dwelling places,” John 14:2, NRSV.

This promise of abundance and welcome lies at the heart of our stewardship theme: Plenty Good Room.

Stewardship Campaign 2026

September 27th to

November 1st

Jesus promises us, “In my Father’s house there are many dwelling places” (John 14:2). We believe this means that God’s love is wide enough to hold us all, and that we are bound together in holy community.

This year’s theme, Plenty Good Room, reminds us that stewardship is not only about financial and in-kind gifts. It is also about relationships – the ways we are connected to God, to one another, and to our neighbors.

Celebration

A manifestation of our thankfulness.

In this final week of our Plenty Good Room stewardship campaign, we celebrate all the gifts God has given us.

Our practice of welcome, the life of our beloved community, and the abundance and generosity of all the saints is a reason to celebrate.

There is always plenty good room here at St. Augustine’s in-the-Woods.

Generosity

St. A’s is an incredibly generous congregation.

There are many ways that generosity is expressed here at St. A’s. Generous gifts of time (Alder Guild, for example), Generous gifts of talent (Choir, for example), Generous gifts of financial resources (Annual pledges, for example).

Also, our outreach ministries of the Holiday Market, Trash and Treasure, and the Mission Sunday offering send thousands back into the community.

Beloved Community

How do you experience St. A’s as a beloved community?

This week we are focusing on what it means to be a beloved community.

The author, Adam Russell Taylor defines it this way:

“For me, the Beloved Community is creating a community, a society, a nation, where everyone is seen, everyone is respected, where everyone is enabled to thrive, and everyone is able to realize their God-given potential.”

Part of ensuring “plenty good room” is tending to the nature of an affirming, welcoming, community.

Welcome

What does welcome mean to you?

This week we are focusing on the theme of welcome. Jesus promises us, “In my Father’s house there are many dwelling places” (John 14:2). We believe this means that God’s love is wide enough to hold us all, and that we are bound together in holy community. All are welcome here at St. A’s!

How do we experience and extend welcome?
