A prayer for our parish:
Almighty and ever living God, ruler of all things in heaven and earth, hear our prayers for this parish family. Strengthen the faithful, arouse the careless, and restore the penitent. Grant us all things necessary for our common life, and bring us all to be of one heart and mind within your holy Church; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Over the past ten years, the people of St. Augustine's have been thinking, praying, discussing and discerning to understand our mission on South Whidbey Island. This past summer, we committed to a building program to improve our facilities, expecially the Parish Hall, Office and Narthex. On Sunday, September 7th we officially began our Stewardship Campaign to both pledge our financial support to the annual ministry budget and to make commitments beyond regular giving to support the building project.

Our Capital Campaign

"Faith, Vision, Legacy - It's About Time" is the theme for our capital campaign. It is truly a "campaign" in that it seeks to involve the whole congregation in a focused time of inspiriation and reflection on what God is calling us to do.

Advanced Giving Event Raises Initial Pledges for Our New Building

On Saturday, November 22, the Capital Campaign hosted an Advanced Commitment reception in the undercroft. $820,000 was pledged toward the cost of our proposed building. This was a wonderful start, and those who were present deserve our thanks for their enormous generosity. At the same tine, their pledges to our annual stewardship compaign represented a 14% increase over last year - further excellent news at this stressful time in the ecomonic life of our nation.
