A prayer for our parish:
Almighty and ever living God,
ruler of all things in heaven and earth, hear our prayers for
this parish family. Strengthen the faithful, arouse the
careless, and restore the penitent. Grant us all things
necessary for our common life, and bring us all to be of one
heart and mind within your holy Church; through Jesus Christ our
Lord. Amen. |

Solemn Evensong

| Open
to the community, regardless of your faith or
belief, Evensong is an island of calm in a busy day
and provides an opportunity to stop and take a
breath for a few moments, enveloping the self in the
candles, incense, music, and reverence. This
service, the ancient evening prayer of the Church,
is offered every Monday at 5:30 p.m. at St.
Augustine's by the Benedictine
Brothers of Saint John and members of the
parish choir. It is a time of contemplation,
reflection and thanksgiving for the day just passed.
Thanksgiving is the theme of this Office.
Evensong is offered Monday evenings at 5:30 p.m. |
